hi, my adjustment of status has been questioned, and they requested a lot more information, bank statements etc etc I have been able to obtain nearly all of the papers required quite easily, but the last paper needed which has been the most difficult has only just been posted to me.
my question is the due date for me to submit all my paperwork is 27th of September (2012) and time is getting very very short, will I be okay as long as it is posted before the 27th or do they have to actually have it in their hands by the 27th?
I have tried to get an extension explaining this, I would only need five days, but I was denied, I should receive the paper's any day now and will immediately post them, but am I done for if they arrive at the office on the 28th? they actually said they would start extraction proceedings if it was late I just need to define "late"
also should I call again and try and speak to somebody above an officer to try to get this extension?
