We got our I-485 approval and so we had gone to INS office for passport stamping.
They took our advanced parole, I-94 & photographs. We filled the forms and they took our signature & fingerprints on it. But did not stamped the passport. We were told that they will call us for stamping and we will receive the green card by mail in 6 months. Also told us that stamping is only necessary if we are planning to leave the country meanwhile, it is absolutely our wish.
Need your suggestions whether we should go and try again for passport stamping or not?
thet should stamp the passport. Better you go and get it stamped. The card will come in few months. If it is emergency u can use the passport as proof of green card.
