I got a stamp on my passport in Nov.2004. My husband works for military base as a direct hire government employee, but hired locally in Japan. American embassy said the exemption rule doesn't apply to a local hire. Does anybody know if this is true ? Expiration time is getting close, but I am not sure if I can go to the US yet. Please help !!!
