I actually got through to a CSC phone operator a few days ago. She told me that, due to a computer problem, people at CSC can't change the address that the plastic green card goes to, after it's approved. It's also very likely that the card will go to the wrong address if residence is changed during the I-485 process.
The only way to get your green card if you move after approval is 1) hope the mailman forwards it to you, or 2) wait for the card to go back to INS, then hope that they forward it to you from the mailroom.
I've seen forwarded items that had sat in the CSC mailroom for EIGHT MONTHS.
It's easy to give a change of address. Mail it to the address at the bottom of your I-485 receipt or approval. Mark the outside of the envelope "Change of Address."
