Help needed: green card but currently abroad
I won a green card through the DV program.
I first arrived in the US towards the end of Aug./12 to complete the final step and left within a few days.
I came back at the beginning of the yr. 2013 to pick up the actual card shipped at my address and left again within a few days to complete my MBA abroad.
I was hoping to find an internship in the US to complete the progamme but unfortunately I found it only abroad.
I'm a worried about losing the green card but a friend told me that it is not too late to file an I-131 and this will allow me to stay abroad without problems.
Does anyone knows more about this?
I was in the US 4,5 days in Aug./2012 and again 4,5 in Jan. 2013. The 1yr. count starts from Aug./12 or Jan./13?
