I am thinking about sponsoring one of my employees to the US.
I was reading on this site here **
that an employer can petition someone for US permanent residence.
But I'm confused... would that be the same as getting a green card?
Because it also says that these "green card applications are also called Employment Based Petitions".
But I thought that having permanent residence was different from having a green card.
Can someone clear this up for me?
