Hi everyone,
How do USIS count the day a LRS stay in the US at least 183 days? Base on:
- calender year (from 1st Jan till 31st December) ?????
- or from the day of green card issued till the end of the year (31st december)????
- or from the day of green card issued + 365 days ?????
In case of my green card is issued in May 2013,
I intend to stay in the US for 4 months (till September), and spend another 3 months in my home country (from Oct. to Dec.)
Will I qualify to stay in the US more than half time? or they will count the at least 183 days and I will not qualify (as this year I will stay only 120 days) to apply the citizenship 5 years later ????? I intend to spend 7 months in the US yearly from next year up to 4 year to apply my citizenship
