I am a permanent resident of the U.S., getting ready to submit my I-131 form (reentry permit) but am worried about the timing for the biometric exam.
I leave the U.S. on the 22nd of this month. I will apply for the permit tomorrow (the 5th). Clearly, very little turnaround and I do not at all expect Immigration to respond to me that quickly.
I know that I need to attend a biometric exam for the permit to be processed. I plan on coming back to the U.S. for a long weekend at the end of the October (including a Friday, so I may be able to do the exam then). I plan to come to the U.S. again for the last 2 weeks of the year.
My question is, is this acceptable???? Will the government deny my request because of the timing of everything?
I am very worried. Please advise - thank you!!!
