  • how to extend the stay in home country for minor children after wining DV Lottery

Hi, My husband and I won DV Lottery last year and came to US in December 2013. we have 2 minor children (ages 4 and 7) included in our application. When visa was granted consulate gave us time to enter US until March 2014. Me and my husband already came to US but kids are still in our home county as we would like them to finish the school year and bring them to US in summer.
Is there a chance to extend their stay for another 6 month and what do we need to do in this case to retain Green Card for our kids?

Where do we need to apply and what forms do we need to submit?

Are there any legal fees to pay and how much?

    Thank you sooo much...

      Kathy,

I can't speak for the Lottery options for extending eligibility for dependent children to come to the U.S., and there may be some flexibility for their status.

On the other hand, however, submitting I-130 petitions for each of them would provide them an immigration option in another year or so, if all else fails.
