Got plastic card for my son ( 6 years old). The country of birth on the card is marked as "Northern Ireland" in place of 'United Kingdom'. BTW Northern Ireland is not a separate country.
Called TSC today, they told me that it should not be a big deal and I can leave it like that and correct it at the timeof extension or naturalization. If I want to get it changed then fill out an I-90 form and take it to the local INS office with DOB certificate. That time I did not realize that I-90 has $ 110 fee.
Questions -
1. Any suggestion if this is a big deal?
2. Will INS still charge me $ 110 even though it is their mistake?
3. If INS has all the information in their records why they cannot re-print the card, why do I need to resubmit all the information, any experience anyone in getting error rectified on plastic card?
4. When I submit form I-90 do they keep the plastic card?
