Applying for I-131 while I-751 is pending

Can I apply for I-131 while my I-751 is pending once I receive NOA letter?

I'm planning to travel overseas for more than 6 months.

Your pending I-751 provided you a one-year extension to your 2-year Conditional Status, so you don't need a Reentry Permit.

Thank you for your reply. To give you more details, I'm planning to travel for about 5-6 months overseas early next year, then come back in the middle of the year and apply for I-751. Once I'm done with Biometrics for I-751, I'm planning to travel overseas again for 6 months to 1 year. Since I will be traveling for a while, I was wondering if I need to apply for I-131, and if I can apply for I-131 as soon as I receive NOA and get it approved. Thanks again!

You can apply for a Reentry Permit anytime, but you must be in the U.S. if called up for an I-751 interview.
