Hi,
My Green card got approved on Apr 8 2005.
I was out of U.S. from mar 21 2005 to july 11 2005 (4 months)
again I have been out of united states from september 21 2005 - jan 2006 approx 4 months (currently in India)
however I may have to extend my stay due to medical reasons I'm being asked not to travel due to medical reasons and may have to extend my stay till may 2006 well beyond 180 days.
I have heard rumours that if you are green cardholder and stay outside U.S. for more than 180 days than G.C. is cancelled Is that True ?
If It's true than ,Is there a procedure where I can get a exception to this rule by explaining my medical condition.
