Re-entry Permit

Hi,

Once I get my GC, I would like to go back home for some time (More than a year) and come back later. With Consular processing I should be done by April. Does anybody know how soon can I safely apply for my reentry permit without any repercussions later.

Not sure what you are talking about. Your stamp is good enough for your reentry but you need legal advise about whether you can leave the country for more than 1 year and still can be admitted as a LPR.
