Hi,

I too have the same question & I came to know thro some source attorney that the INS may forward the plastic card to the company that sponsored the GC.

But I do not know, How far this is true?

Can ayone throw some light on this?

Plastic card is sent to the address shown on the immigrant visa that you submitted at POE. I hope you kept a copy.

Hi,

I don't remeber to have recieved any copy at the POE, all the thing is they take your thumb impression & ask you to sign , then they will stamp the I-551 stamp.

I do not know what copy tou are referring too??

He is refering to photocopy of the immigrant visa which was stapled on the front of the packet. That nice multi color paper which had your picture and immigrant visa no. and details.

Hi,

It states my residence address, So I presume that they are going to mail it to my residence.

Before that,If I change my residence, whom am I supposed to notify apart from the Post Office ?

POE - SFO - still waiting

I did my consular processing in Chennai in Mid December 2000 and entered through SFO on Dec 31st 2000. I have
not received my card yet
