My Wife is a permanent residence ( Green Card holder) as a derivative of my GC application. She has received the card in year 2014. Until now, she has been employed for last 5 years but she was laid off this week.

Question 1: What types of affects (any negative) will her future Citizen application have, if she files for Unemployment Benefits? (Based on my research I know she is eligible to receive one)
Question 2: Her parents are planning to go for Visitor VISA in home country (Some time early 2015). Will they fear of VISA rejection if she applies for Unemployment Benefits?

Any opinion or situation will be helpful.

Unemployment benefits are a form of employee insurance, not a welfare benefit. Her receipt of unemployment insurance benefits will have no adverse effect on her citizenship application.
