how many time I can enter the U.S. with re-entry permit

I'm a GREENCARD holder who currently live in the US and decided to go back to study in my home town for the next 2 year.
But My family still lives in the US. I just wonder if I can visit The U.S. Every six months or 2 times a year just to see my family?
Any one please help!! I really appreciate it!!

If you are going to reenter the US within 6 months, you don't need reentry permit or anything.
