applying I130 or should wait

HI.. i have few question
right now i m on Gc wants to file I130 for spouse under F2a current waiting time around 20 months
eligible for citizenship next Dec 2015 + add about 6 months to processing time for N400
question
1. should i file now for sponsorship under f2a
or wait untill become citizen
i130 takes about 6 to 9 months for approval if i apply now every thing should b ready by the time become citizen and later update it
dont wanna waist any more time
2 . what should i do
which option is best for my case
any advice or experience

someone wrote about having a green card and applying for I-130 for his spouse on this site already, in the end it ended up biting him in butt because the process took so much longer since he had to update USCIS about being now a citizen so the whole application took about 2 ½ years because it went into review so many other things I cant recall..

apply for your citizenship 3 months prior to the 5 year mark and you'll a citizen within 5 months.... by the time you're schedule for an interview for your citizenship you should have all paperwork filled out for your spouse and as soon as you get your citizenship certificate send the application...

it'd save you lots of headaches to just wait.
