POE: LAX on 5/20/01

Hi guys:

I entered LAX on 5/20/01 as a permanent resident
after completing CP at Delhi on 5/17/01.

The INS officer told me it would take 9 months
to get the plastic card. How long does
it actually take ?

Hopeful you can get it within a year. If you are not lucky, then you have to get your passport re-stamped and apply for replacement card.

I have been waiting more than 6 months after went through LAX. I was told the data entry department has not received the file yet.

It seems LAX and SFO are the worst.

Plastic Card Status.

Guys,

Nothing seems to be happening in the CSC center as far as the plastic cards related to CP cases are concerned. They are people out there who are waiting for more than a year for their plastic cards with POE: LA or SFO. I myself am waiting since Jan 30, 2001 for my plastic card to arrive. I've not heard of any one recieving their plastic cards in atleast past 8 weeks with POE: LA / SFO. I talked to an IIO at the CSC a month ago, he told me that there is a huge back log and didn't know what month they were currently processing.

Every thing seems to be uncertain except the waiting.
