  • ReEntry Permit Questions

    Hello members

I have few questions about the Re-entry permit and appreciate any feedback / experience from you

I have to stay out of US for a little more than 2 years.

Initially I plan to stay out of US for 5-6 months.

Then come back and apply for a re-entry permit ( I understand I will have to stay few weeks to give biometrics) before I leave

    (1) Any one see potential issue with that ?

    (2) Do we need to provide any justification / reason when apply for a reentry permit ?

    (3) I plan to come prior to the expiration of reentry period. Will be able to apply for another reentry permit once I come to US ?

I highly appreciate any feedback from or sharing any similar experience

    Thank you!!

You can normaly get two Reentry Permits. Beyond that, approval becomes discretionary, with a shorter allowable period or a denial.
