my wife and I filed last year for the removal of conditional status on my green card . It took about 9 months to get an answer from USCIS and unfortunately it was an RFE. my 1 years extension will expire on june 2015 , our lawyer just submitted the RFE answer first week of march 2015 and the deadline for the RFE is 2nd week of April. Our lawyer told us that it will took another 3-4 months to get an answer from the USCIS because they are really back log. Then a sad news from Philippines came in that my grandmother is getting really Ill . I really wanted to see her . I consulted to my lawyer about traveling and he told me I could travel without any problem and he arrange an appointment for an infopass to have my passport stamp with i551 . I started researching and red a lot of story about people traveling with the stamp to re enter USA and they are successful . But, I haven't red or might not have seen story about using the stamp traveling to Philippines and back. Also, I came across a guidelines from USCIS that upon returning using the stamp from Phils is I need to have a boarding permit that I have to get at the consular office in Manila through an Infopass in manila. Im only planning to stay for a few weeks in phils and as much as possible in the bedside of my grandmother ,not the long line's and summer humid heat outside US embassy in manila. Is there anyone can give me a guide on processing the i551 stamp, the boarding permit in manila, how long does it take to get after application, what do I need to present to get the permit, what to expect when returning here in US from the immigration, do I need to bring other documents?

What was the RFE about cos am getting reading to remove condition these year and 9 month is a long time wow, but I think you should be fine with the 1551 stamp if you have one. Don't know much myself but am sure more experience people like Rayb will give you the answer your looking for just be patient good luck.
