I urgently needed to travel back home to my country. I already have schedule for an infopass to get an i551 stamp on my passport. my situation is I'm currently waiting for the decision for the I751 after answering the RFE notice. my NOA 1 year extension will expire in a couple of months. Am I qualified to get I551 stamp? what should I bring on the infopass beside the expired GC and NOA? Please advice.

i just got back from my infopass at NY federal plaza. unfortunately they did not stamp my passport with I551. as per officer, I still have roughly 2 1/2 months before my extension expires and they can only give me the stamp if within 30 days before expiration date that I haven't received my GC or another extension letter. she say's I can travel just bring the expired GC , extension letter and to return before the extension expires. I guess that's my only choice
