Did any of you entered around third week of October
from Newark and have recieved Plastic card. I entered
on Oct 19 at Newark after CP. Still waiting for the card.

Is there any phone number to know the status of plastic card based on the A number in PP?

I have two sample points:

The bad: I entered Newark, NJ on Sept 25, 2000 (after consular
processing). Haven't received my card yet!!

The good: My wife entered through Montreal, Canada, on
October 29, 2000. Her card was sent on December 12, 2000.

Are there others who've been waiting for more than 3 months,
or should I worry that my card was lost in the mail?

I entered Newark-NJ on Dec 27th. From all your posts its seems I am in for a long wait.

Others with Newark POE & recieved cards please post.

Is there a number you can call to check if you are in the system ( After 4 weeks I guess )

My wife who entered at Newark ten days after me on 10/28/00 recieved here plastic card yesterday from TSC.
I am still waiting.

pkr5670: Thanx for the update. Its not too gloomy at least people are getting cards unlike CSC where the wait sometimes seems to exceed 3 months.

I managed to talk to TSC...

As I mentioned above, I entered on 26 Sept 2000 and haven't received
my card. I called the Texas Service Center, and after several hours
of hitting the redial button, talked to a person.

It turned out that they did send me my card, on 17 Nov 2000, but they
had the wrong address. (Idiots!) She couldn't say whether it was returned
to them, but took my correct address and entered it to their computer.

My attorney suggested that I go directly to my local INS and ask for
a replacement card. But first I'm going to try and get the TSC to send me some
kind of answer about whether or not they lost my card...

gidiav: When you called TSC and spoke to an IIO there what did you give them as reference to track your case.

Was it the EAC #, A #, etc.

Personally, the Card is not a big deal (Stamp is good enough) but you have to be concerned if it maybe lost.

So do keep us all posted.

I gave the A# and the IIO located my record on her computer.

By the way, they recommend sending a fax rather than calling them. However,
the fax number (214-767-7409) is just as busy. Or worse, at some point it
simply didn't pick up...

Thanx a lot for your reply. I will try and call TSC after 5 weeks ( Seems like the rough time that it takes for the A# to make it into their computer).

If I cannot get thru I will most definitly try the fax route.

I called TSC this afternoon. After almost 40 minutes I got thru then I was on hold for another 20+ minutes and in the the end the IIO coudn't find my A# in the system. His response was hey you get you passport stamped for 1 year. So wait. I hung up didn't feel like asking him anything more.
