Can anyone tell me if I have an appt in first week of April whether I can get the employment letter right now in the middle of Jan or does this letter have to be very recent to the date of the appointment ??(my unit might spinoff and hence I want the letterhead to be that of the parent company). Did anyone get a employment letter two months before the appointment??

The employment letter should not be older than 6 months.
I got mine about 2 1/2 months before the interview.

Mine was a Week old. As I got my letter just before leaving. The close it is to the interview date, its better.

Based on your personal circumstance do the best you can.
