I have a valid re entry permit until may,2017

Q1-Will the re entry permit be considered after entering united States in june,2016 as not valid (canceled)?

Q2-if not do i have to inform the immigration in june,2016 that i don't need the re entry permit anymore while its still valid up to 2017?

I think that it's still valid and you can still use it as long as it's not yet expired. I have a re-entry permit that have expired on June 20, 2015. I entered USA on June 18, 2015 and even if there's only two days remaining on my re-entry permit, they did not cancel it when I entered USA.

Hi, could you tell me how you had used your reentry permit at the poe? Did you gave the officer your GC,the RE and your passport ? Where the officer had stamped your intrance ? On the reentry or on your passport ?
