Leaving US immediately after finishing Biometrics appointment

Re-entry permit visa related topic!

I. Can I leave US immediately after completing Biometrics? or, do I need to wait until they send some kind of notification in mail?

II. If the date that I left USA falls before the re-entry permit's date of issuance (or approval), will the US immigration officer allow me at the Port of Entry if I am returning back to US after 10 months?
(Assuming that I have a valid re-entry permit in my hand that time)
