Hi Everyone,
I'm hoping to get some clarity.
My husband already passed his citizenship test and we are now waiting for his oath ceremony.
We didn't realize, as we know now, that this can take up to 120 days. So we didn't renew his green card which has expired. We also didn't renew his Canadian passport because we thought that after the oath ceremony we will have to apply for a USA passport. We were basically relying on a the oath ceremony for everything
We need to travel for a very important family affair for just one day.
We were told to make an infopass appointment for an I-551 stamp. Can I rely that they will give him this stamp at the appointment even if his green card and his passport have expired? We need to travel urgently so we would love to know what to do.
