Hi,I've been issued green card while i was in USA. I lost my green card there but couldn't apply for a new one because in emergency i've travel back to Pakistan. So before leaving US, I got a stamp on my passport proving that im a permanent resident...that was valid for 6 months. Now i visited USA Embassy over here in Pakistan and they said that they will issue me a boarding foil that will be valid for 30 days. At that time,i was not ready to go back in 30 days so i requested them to hold my passport so they said that whenever you plan for travel ,send us an email and we will mail your passport along with boarding foil. They also told me that i must go back before my one year stay abroad. My one year period outside is going to end in 6 january 2016. On 23rd of November,i sent an email to embassy that please send my passport so that i can travel back... its almost 18 days passed.But i did not get my passport back. I've sent them 2 reminder emails that please send me passport so that i can plan back because i've to get my air ticket etc. But today is 11 December but i didn't get back my passport. So my question is this if they send my boarding foil just 2.3 days before my one year stay date ,6 January and i could not able to get any ticket OR Even if they send my passport with boarding foil after 6 January, then will I be still able to go back ? What will happen if i will get boarding foil along with passport, after 6 January 2016 (after this date my stay abroad will be over one year) ? Will i be able to use that boarding foil ? Please reply, Im very tense. Thanks in advance.
