Expired CR in 2012, living outside of US, where to start?
Anyone have any experience in a similar situation?
I'm American, my 2 sons are born in the states.
My husband entered the US on a Conditional Resident Green Card in 2010.
We left the country in June 2012, before it expired on Oct 18, 2012. So no violation there.
Original reason for leaving was a sick father-in-law, then his family needed his help with the family business. In the past 3 years we have faced revolution, and violence, limited access to the US Embassy (we are in Egypt).
We had every intention of returning but we are just not sure how to begin the process and time has drug out because I don't know how to start.
We are still married, should we apply to remove conditions, I-751?
or
Should I apply for a returning resident SB-1?
or
Should I begin the process from scratch with the Petition for Alien Relative, I-130?
Thank you for any experience or advice. These forums were amazing for us the first time we went to the US. Hope I can get the right encouragement this time too.
