Extension on GC with I797: what date does extension start from?

When applying for I751 (conditions to be lifted on conditional permanent resident card), the I797 receipt/notice of action extends rights to work/travel etc,. for one year.

I'm trying to find out if this extension starts on the date the receipt is issued; or on the expiration date of the green card.

If anyone has info please do reply.
