I am a naturalized US citizen and I want to apply for my dad to come to America. He was in the US and got a deferment letter in court in 2007. He was ordered to leave four months after that, But he did not. He kept working in the US until 2009. The I.C.E. caught him and put him in immigration jail and after a month they sent him back China. I just want ask you guys, How can I apply for him to come and help him come to the us. Does he have wait 10 years to able to come here? Is there any other ways we can make it shorter? I just petitioned my mom and she is in America with a green card so I know how to do the normal way to apply a person. But since my dad's case is complicated i need help. I also heard about a few forms that I need work on before I send the petition. For example, people told me about the I-601 or I-601 A and I - 212 or I-212 H.
And also people said there is bar for ten years and three years and people can make it shorter.
Any of you guys know about this?
