  • Spouse 2-year Green card.

    Hi all.
I've been married to my husband for the last 2.5 years (May 2014).
However, I've only had my green card for less than a year (since December 2015).

Although we entered the marriage in good faith, it seems that things are not going too well.
Considering that he may not be willing to file jointly at the end of next year (when my 2-year green card is about to expire) what are my options?

Does it make any difference that we've been married longer than I've had my green card?

    Thank in advance

If you are sure he won't file jointly with you, then you should file for divorce ASAP. Then you can file for Removal of Conditions by yourself on the basis of divorce.

But it sounds like you are not sure whether he will file jointly with you or not.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
