My green card is expiring around the end of JAN 2017. I have to travel immediately to an international destination. I will be coming back in the last week of JAN. I plan to file for my green card renewal online (Form I-90) while I am at the international location. I will be back to the US before my Green Card expires. I would like to ask if its OK for me to file for the renewal while I am at the international location since the process for filing renewal application is online.
