  • new reentry permit question

Can anyone help me in completing the form I-131, I want to apply for a new reentry permit while I have a current one not expired yet and will expire after 6 months, so I will just send a copy from the current permit.
In question 4.C in part 3, it asking about disposition, so can you tell what should I write in it?

    According to this PDF:

I have an old reentry permit. Do I need to turn in my old permit if I am filing for a new one?

Reentry permits cannot be extended. If your permit expires, you’ll need to apply for a new one. If you have a valid reentry permit in your possession, you will need to send it in when you apply for a new one. You need not send in an expired reentry permit. For security reasons, USCIS will not issue a new reentry permit to someone who already has a valid one in his or her possession. If you need a new reentry permit because your previous one was lost, stolen, or destroyed, please indicate this on your application for the new permit.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Same question here. My reentry permit expires in April. But I plan to go to US in January
to apply for the new one. I do not want to mail my current one back. But the instruction
says " A Reentry Permit may not be issued to you if:
        (1) You have already been issued such a document, and it is still valid, unless the prior document has been
returned to USCIS or you can demonstrate that it was lost; "

        Need help!!!
