Hello,
I'm a permanent resident (hold a family based GC) since 2012. I relocated to the US only 6 months ago as I was studying in my home country.
During the time I was out of the US I held a valid I-131 (Reentry Permit). I traveled to the US often in the last 5 years to retain my GC both for visiting my family and for business. According to my understanding, in order for me to become a citizen, I should be present in the US for 2.5 years which means another 2 years approx.
Today, my girlfriend and I reside in the US and she holds a working visa. I would like her to have a GC too.
What are our options by all means? (Engagement/Marriage etc.) and which one is the easiest/fastest way?
Thanks!
