Issues with re-entry to US after undergrad going into masters?

I recently graduated from college (bachelors) in US and have been admitted into a masters program in a different state in the US itself. Planning to go home for the summer before graduate school starts. But I have been told that there might be complications in returning back to the US because they are really restricting immigration these days (due to current political situation in the US). Is this true? My visa in my passport is valid for another year so I did not think that going home (to Nepal) and coming back for my masters with the same visa on my passport would be a problem. But there are concerns about leaving the US because re-entry would be hard; whether they might cause some issue at the US port of entry or borders and customs, etc? What are your thoughts ? Have you heard of any situations where people have been denied to re-enter the country for grad school or not given visa even when accepted to a good well known grad school/university?
