I-551 Stamp Concern
My wife got her GC last December - it had a typo. After filing I-90 back then, we just confirmed (after many calls) that her new card finally "went for processing" yesterday. It is supposed to arrive in 2 to 3 weeks, though it could be sooner.
Q-1 - How long does this card actually take to arrive after going for processing?
Also, we have an INFOPASS appointment to get the I-551 stamp on Tuesday and we are planning to leave for a two-week vacation in Ukraine late next week, and may have to depart before the actual plastic GC arrives.
Q-2 - Has anybody had trouble re-entering with only a stamp? Are stamps commonly known and accepted by agents at the airport without the plastic?
