Hi,
I have entered the US as a permanent resident for the first time just over 3 months ago. Now I have to go back to home country to help my mom look after sick grandmother. I have decided to apply for RP since I don't know how long my stay out of the US may really take. This is obviously my first time applying for RP. I have looked over similar cases in the internet and some immigration attorneys are recommending to attach tons of supporting documents to I-131 in support of both ties to the US and purpose of the trip abroad. So the questions are:
1. Do I have to attach to the I-131 application supporting documents in support of my purpose of trip?
2. Do I have to attach to the application supporting documents in support of my current ties to US?
3. A forward-looking question. Is entering back US with RP following 23 months continuous absence in the US actually safe for the LRP status?
Thanks for helping out. Much appreciated.
