    Hello,

    Hope you all are doing well and Thankful for this forum.

    My parents is in the US from last 6 month on immigration visa. they have now a green card too. i need to know how long they can stay in the US?

    Seriously? Thats your questions after getting green card you can stay as long as you can! you should ask how long they can stay outside the US after getting green card.

        That completely depends.

        What do they want? Do they want to become US citizens? Does it matter to them how quickly that happens?

        If they stay outside the US for more than a year, they should apply for reentry permits or risk losing their status here.

          Dear Mehulgajjar, there are different types of US Green Cards depending on your situation and how you will obtain it. There are basically four categories of Green Cards: Family sponsored Green Cards, Employment sponsored Green Cards, Returning resident Green Card, Diversity Visa Green Card. Depends on your individual case the green card can be valid for 10 years or does not have an expiration date on it. Please clarify your question to receive the correct answer.             All green cards issued in the last 3 decades have expiration dates on them. Non-conditional green card are all valid for 10 years.
