parents green card

my parents came to US about 10 days ago afte having received their immigrant visas/ green card stamped on the passports in Delhi in MArch: They have not recieved their cards yet: Can they travel outside without their cards with the stamp on passports to canada and come back or do they have to have the actual card to travel?

any help will be appreciated.

Yes, they can. That stamp is as good as the green card.
