  • Green Card through family

    Hi,
I am an F1 student (until July 8, 2008) and am planning to apply for a green card through my husband (who is a green card holder). The question is this:
Do I submit forms I 130 and I 864 right now, or should I also submit G-325A, I-485 and I-693 at the same time?
Also, at what time in the application process can one apply for EAD and advance parole?
    Thanks a lot, Smita.

I submitted I-130, I-485 + G-325, I-765 (EAD) and applied for advanced parole all at the same time.

However, since your husband is a green card holder, you should check if he can even petition for you. I'm sure it's only US citizens that can do that, so you might have to wait until he becomes a US citizen first.

Yes permanent residents can sponsor their spouses, there is just a wait of 4-6 years.

Citizen can get results in a few months.
