To whom it may concern;
Hi, I was wondering if you can please send me your advice on a situation that I'm in. You see, I left the States to continue my studies back in 2002-03 and for a while I was going back and forth before the six month limit would be up.
Then I was hospitalized for a time which affected my trips back to the states. Well to make a long story short; I ended up getting married in the PI with two girls (one of them not mine). I thought by giving up the green card I was being noble because I was going to be there for my family and giving them a father figure and a husband to my wife.
When I had the opportunity to renew my green card; I made it to the US embassy only to be turned away by the person behind the counter saying that I could not renew here in the P.I. but that I have to return to the states. Well that was hard for me because funds were very low. Needless to say my card ran out just a few months ago although I have my re-entry permit and SS card as well as my drivers license from the states.
I don't want to believe that there is such thing as a no-win scenerio; and I am holding on to hope that I can still return to the states although it might take a little longer.
Please provide me with your advice and the step by step process to do this...
