Can I process VISA for a extended stay for my parents?

Hi,

I am much concerned about taking my parents with me during my stay in USA. I have been staying in H1B VISA. I have lot of chances to apply for Green Card.

My only concern is I need my parents with me. Can you please suggest me the best way for it? Because tourist VISA they need to travel every 6 months to India. Which is very difficult for them in this age.

I heard that once we get Green Card, we may process our parents as dependents ( or visitors I am not sure ) for an extended stay here. For few years lets say.

But, wherever I search I see, that is possible for Citizens only. Please throw me some ray of hope here.

sorry you are out of luck here.

only citizens can sponsor parents for GC. if staying with parents is that important then stay with them where they are.

I doubt with retrogression the way it is you will get GC any time soon, even if the process starts soon. Then after u get the card you have to wait 5 yrs to apply for GC.

USA is gr8 but India is also doing so well these days, so think things over.

Yes. I am not too much concerned on staying here. But, as our family is too close , till my brother study we plan to move here. Probaly I think of canadian immigration, till he completes his study.
