Passport requirements to re enter US for a green card holder

I am a US green card holder and Indian Citizen. I am travelling to India next week and coming back on november 11 th. My Indian passport is valid till 27 th November 2007. My question is should my passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entering to US as some web sites mentioned?(They do not tell about green card holders). Any information is greatly appreciated.

no as long as you present the Gc and are back before PP expiry you are fine. get the pp renewed after you get back,
