Green Card holder Returning to the States after 4 years.

I'm planning to return to the U.S after a four year absence. I'm only returning for a 4 day holiday and I'm not planning to re-establish residency. Can I just come through immigration on a vistors waiver visa (think it's the green I-94W form given by the airlines). UK residents don't need visa's to visit the U.S. for this amount of time. Will I get flaged at immigration and find I have problems? Would appriciate any help and advise. I know there's an I-407 form for giving up your green card, but i'm going soon and don't have time.
