AR / ARC in the entry stamp?

AR / ARC in the entry stamp?

I got my GC in April 2005. Soon after i went to India for 3 weeks & came back; no problem. Now i went to India in July 2007 & returned Dec 2007 almost after months. At the port of entry, in the stamping the officer has written someting AR or ARC (i couldn't figure out exactly) in the Valid Until line. What does that mean? What are the consequences?

It means Alien Resident Card (ARC), it just means that you were allowed because you had a Green Card. This is common practice nowadays, nothing to worry about at all.
