Help regarding SB-1 visa

Hello everybody,

I need your inputs.

I came to india on jan 25,2007 and just finished 1 year stay outside of US. I dont have re-entry permit and wish to get back to US asap. I came for my father's medical emergency.

1.Is SB-1 visa the option
2.IS it tough process
3.I have maintained bank account in US
4.My sister also lives there and citizen.
5.MY daughter is US citizen.
6.IF we get SB-1 visa issued,what is the validity,is it a green card again?

Please share your thoughts and experiences and I will be thankful to you.

5.MY daughter is US citizen. Makes no difference unless she is 21.
6.IF we get SB-1 visa issued,what is the validity,is it a green card again? It will allow you to return to the USA with your current GC.

It seems we have to surrender GC at the time of SB-1 interview process, if we are denied, can we then try for H-1B work visa ?
