My parents (both GC holders) have applied for their re-entry application (while in California) and it was received at the Nebraska office on Nov. 19, 2007. My parents left the US on January 8, 2008 without the re-entry permit on their hands.
On July 8, 2008 will be their 6th month being away from the US. Would there be a problem when they go back to the US after 6+ months? Their re-entry permit application is still in pending/process. Or should they go back to the US before July 8, 2008 to keep their GCs and wait in the US for their re-entry permit gets approved?
Please advise. Thank you.
