Traveling back to the US while waiting for Re-entry permit approval

Since it is taking significant time to get re-entry permits approved, I have this question -

If one files re-entry permit and then leaves the US (while his re-entry permit is pending) , whould he have any problem coming back to US - within 6 months or after 6 months?

Please share your experiences...

Did you have a receipt? If yes, you can show people the receipt.

Yes, I am planning to leave the US after receiving the receipt from USCIS.

So I guess with the receipt one should not have any problem while coming back to the US as applying for re-entry permit is a proof that you want to maintain your GC. Right?

Yes, you are correct because you don't know when will get the receipt.
