Questions of Re-Entry Permit

Hi Immihelp.com,

I have a question about the re-enrty permit. I just got my green card and I would need to go back to my country to finish up on my unfinished business (selling of assets). it would probably take me about 8-10 months before i can go back here in the U.S. my question is, do i need to apply for a re-entry permit since i will be out of the U.S. for more than 5 months but less than 1 year? and if ever i need the said permit, can i apply for it in the U.S. embassy in my country or do I have to do it here in the U.S.?

You don't need reentry permit for less than 1 year.

If you needed, you need to apply in the US.
