Re-Entry On Greencard

Hi,

I have applied for a re-entry permit I131 on my green Card on Dec 2007.
I did recieve a notice that my application has been recieved and my Credit Card has also been Charged for it. After that I travelled out of the country and haven't returned back and planning to go now.
So looking at the processing time as of today May 16th 2008 is July 2007.
SO my question is, do I need to travel to USA in June thats when the end of my 6 Month period from the last entry.
Or SInce I have applied my permit already I don't need to reenter to United States in June.

Your advice here is really appreciated

am in the same situation.I filed in Dec and moved out of the country.Looks like i got a notice of action to my old apt address,and it returned back to USCIS since post office dont forward mails from USCIS.
It will really be helpful if someone sheds light on these issues:
1.There is a new rule now that REp also needs biometrics done.So is it applicable for applicants who applied evne before the rule came,say my case?
2.Can I give my friends address in AR-11 form to get all communications directed to his address?
I am extremely concerned,because its already 5 mo.since i moved out of US and no sign of rep coming!
I am sure there are many more ppl like me.Pls share your thoughts,expereince and gurus/admin pls help us with any info you may know.

You need the case number to file AR-11 for address changed. If you have the receipt then you can show it when you come back to USA. As I know, someone waited for 16 months to receive his reentry permit recently.
